CONNOR CANTRELL
INFORMATION ARCHITECT & PROBLEM SOLVER
Since my first library gig, I have been obsessed with connecting users to the information they need. Through my use of inclusive design, UX research, and metadata strategy, I bring a unique combination of theoretical training and practical experience to create innovative and scalable solutions to any information problem.
Inclusive Design
Inclusivity must be foundational to any design practice, not an afterthought. I have extensive experience designing scalable solutions to equity problems that manifest in our lives. Social equity work is what started me down a path to information architecture, and is one of the most powerful problem-solving tools in my design methodology.
UX Research
In my approach, UX research is a mode of inquiry that informs all aspects of a design process. I use a combination of interview skills honed at a reference desk and formal training in data visualization to discover the root causes of behavior.

Metadata Strategy
As a fundamental bridge between users and information, metadata strategy can often feel overwhelming but I relish the challenge. Years of helping users search specialized databases and experience designing metadata schema to support information discovery means I can work with just about any metadata schema.
